The Opportunity

We’re looking for a high-calibre medical professional with IT / e-Health experience and engagement with AI and automation to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, playing a pivotal leadership role in our organisation.

This is a mission-critical role, where you will be enabled to make a real impact and drive engagement with new technology and processes to ensure we maintain our market-leading position and reputation for quality.

What You’ll Do

As the Head of Clinical Operations, you will lead the promotion and development of engaging clinical content creation across our portfolio of healthcare solutions.

Specifically, you will take on a leadership role, managing healthcare professionals and Solution Leads who are authoring data and content that underpin our software solutions.

A major focus of the role will be delivering high-quality clinical content in line with UK and international standards whilst maintaining appropriate quality, controls and procedures.

Additionally, your role will involve:

- Promoting the appropriate adoption of AI and automation
- Contributing to our strategy as it relates to clinical content
- Supporting and overseeing the work of team leaders
- Managing resource budgets and delivery timeframes
- Ensuring clinical processes are embedded to maximise value

Please note that this is a hybrid role, and you will be required to attend the office in Exeter on a twice-weekly basis.

About You

To be considered as our Head of Clinical Operations, you will need:

- To be an accredited Pharmacist, Medical Doctor or similar
- Previous experience in the IT or e-Health sector, as well as in a healthcare or NHS-related organisation
- Experience in clinical publishing in a digital format and/or familiarity with content management systems
- A track record of adopting new tools and processes, such as AI and Automation

You will have a history of budgetary control and be IT proficient.

In addition, you will need to be confident and curious with strong interpersonal, influencing, presentation and negotiation skills, as well as a passion for excellence and innovation.

We are now looking for a Clinical Account Manager to join our Primary Care team on a permanent, full-time basis. Applicants from all locations across the UK are invited to apply.

The Opportunity
 
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified pharmacist with experience delivering into/or working in NHS-facing environments or commercial health IT to apply their clinical and commercial expertise in a specialist, customer-focused role within an expert organisation.

You will work at the intersection of clinical practice, digital decision support and commercial partnership, supporting NHS customers to maximise the value, adoption and impact of FDB’s solutions.

Building on your existing knowledge and experience, you will take ownership of customer relationships while contributing directly to retention, growth and long-term partnership success.

To support you in this role, we offer a structured onboarding plan and ongoing development, enabling you to succeed in a role that combines strategic thinking, customer engagement and meaningful impact.

The Role

As a Clinical Account Manager, you will be responsible for the ongoing success of customers using our OptimiseRx, AnalyseRx and CoordinateRx (formerly MedOptimise) solutions.

You will create and implement account plans, analysing each account for usage, satisfaction and ROI, focusing on value realisation, retention, and growth. You will also support the pre-sales process and lead the onboarding of new customers to ensure they are set up for success.

You will clearly communicate both the value proposition of our solutions and the benefits associated with maximising ongoing usage, overseeing a seamless transition from the sales team into deployment and then live running.

Additionally, you will:

- Develop and nurture broad and deep relationships with key stakeholders
- Create and manage account plans which measure customers’ experience
- Become a key ‘voice of the customer’, helping to shape new FDB solutions and services
- Support customers in achieving timely contract renewals
- Effectively recognise and realise upsell and cross-sell opportunities

About You

To be considered for the Clinical Account Manager role, you will need:

- To be a qualified Pharmacist, with current GPhC registration
- Significant relevant experience in NHS-facing, health IT, medtech or commercial healthcare environments
- Demonstrable project and/or deployment management experience
- Experience in managing commercial customer relationships
- Experience selling and/or delivering services into the NHS

You will also be confident managing customer relationships with a commercial mindset.

What You’ll Do

Working alongside product owners, designers, and domain experts, you’ll use modern technologies and best-practice principles to deliver clean, scalable, and secure code.

Specifically, you will:

- Apply and refine Agile methodologies to design, develop, and deliver new features
- Work collaboratively with the Product Owner to develop a clear understanding of customer requirements, translating needs into elegant solutions
- Analyse requirements, define specifications, and manage delivery through to completion
- Understand and apply established design patterns and best practices, taking responsibility for the quality and efficiency of deliverables
- Produce robust code and conduct peer reviews to maintain quality standards
- Embed SOLID principles, TDD, and refactoring as core practices
- Leverage AI and automation tools to enhance productivity and innovation
- Integrate sustainable thinking into development

About You

To be considered as a Software Developer, you will need:

- Experience in analysis and design using C# and the .NET framework
- Knowledge of test automation, TDD, DDD, refactoring, and unit testing techniques
- Demonstrable experience working within Agile and Scrum development environments, including regular collaboration and pairing

You will need an understanding of SOLID principles and T-SQL database design, as well as familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as React and ORM tools such as Entity Framework.

Exposure to agentic AI tools for workflow automation and decision-making is advantageous, as is knowledge of software architecture and functional programming and commercial experience.
